Make your own clothes: How to draft your own pattern

Tips

4 Aug

Hello Everyone!

If you have tried shopping for patterns recently, you know how expensive they can sometimes be. They can literally run from $10-$30 depends on what you are trying to make. Why not learn how to draft your own pattern to make your own clothes? This tutorial is for a class shirt with sleeves. It uses a simple long sleeve shirt and my daughter’s art paper to get a pattern you can use over and over to make shirts similar to the template. I plan on doing a few more of these for dresses, skirts etc in the future.

This post was originally done for All Free Sewing a while ago and I have been meaning to share it with you all. You can visit AFS for the full tutorial on how to start making your own clothes.
