The Stitching Scientist

    Beginner Sewing Projects eBook

    Inspiration· Roundup· Tips

    23 Oct

Hello Everyone! I decided to start a Back to Basic Series where I will share simple sewing projects to get you started into the sewing world. I remember when I first started sewing, I had to look online and scan through a ton of blogs and videos to find beginner friendly projects. I put together a Beginner Sewing Projects eBook for you that has ten basic sewing tutorials that covers all the main techniques you need to get started sewing. The eBook also has a few free patterns that you can use to sew your first projects. These basic refresher projects work even if you are an expert. It helps to have a go to print out of simple techniques that you can go back and scan through when you forget how to do something. Trust me it happens to me all the time. This will be a good go-to tool to have handy. This is the first eBook in the Back to Basic Series. Hopefully, I can put together a few more before the year is up.

Some of the techniques that’s covered include: binding, making a bodice, gathering to make ruffles, attaching lining, hemming and much more. Most of these projects can be used as gifts so you can show off your newly acquired sewing skills this holiday season. You will also learn how to make simple projects like elastic skirts, an easy lined bag, a blanket and even a dress. If you aren’t a beginner, but have not sewn for a while, use this eBook as your refresher tool to get you started again. Also, if there are some projects that you think I missed, let me know and I will add them in the next eBook.

If you are printing this, you can print on double sided paper to save ink and paper. If not, just download to your computer or tablet and use it as a reference. I hope you guys enjoy my first Back to Basic Series Sewing Projects eBook! Come back for more.
Thanks for visiting and Happy Sewing.
