    Fabric Spotlight

    Women

    12 Sep

Everyone is always asking me where I get my fabrics so I decided to do a Fabric Spotlight Page. These are fabrics that I plan on creating future tutorials with or ones that I already used for projects or simply fabrics that I love. I hope you enjoy my choices and please feel free to add your suggestions as well! I would love to hear what you think of my choices or what you think is trending right now.

Our first feature is High Street Layer Cake by Lily Ashbury from Fat Quarter Shop. I just bought my cake layer to take to the Sewing Summit next week in Salt Lake City for a triangular quilt top. This is a vibrant pink and orange blend with bright geometric and floral designs. Here is what the designer has to say about this layer cake in her interview on the Jolly Jabber blog.

My favorite from this pack is the Grey Bridgitte. I love the contrasting look of the bright orange on the light grey background. I think I may just end up buying a yard of this design and make a cute skirt for my daughter. Just too stunning to pass up!

Another favorite from this pack is the Dark Pink Peacock Paisley. Seriously, how gorgeous is this design! This will look great for a nice skirt for work coordinated with a white top. I can’t wait to get my hands on some yardage.

I hope you get a chance to stop by the Fat Quarter Shop and take a glimpse of this gorgeous Layer Cake from Lily Ashbury.

I can’t wait to show off my quilt next week. Stay tuned!
